The 2024 season will go down in the history of the Solingen Alligators’ farm team as a year full of successes. With an unblemished record of 12 wins in 12 games and not a single defeat, we have shown what is possible when everyone pulls together and the passion for baseball can be felt in every game.
Gabriel Jurczok and Björn Wolf deserve a special mention, as they looked like a complete change on the pitch. Both have become permanent and indispensable members of the team. Their consistently strong performances helped us to end the season in this way.
Not to forget the tireless efforts of our young talent, who were supported and accompanied by Oli Hanisch and Marc Ogieglo. This success would have been inconceivable without the breath of fresh air and the young talent.
Jan Effenberger was a particular mainstay on the mound, delivering consistently as a pitcher and hardly giving our opponents a chance. His commanding performance was one of the many building blocks that made our winning streak possible.
However, the recipe for success this season was the cohesive team performance. Whether in the infield or in the outfield, everyone fought with full commitment and supported each other. Our aggressive baserunning in particular was a decisive factor, putting our opponents under pressure time and again and earning us many crucial points.
Of course, a big thank you also goes to all those who work in the background. The catering team made sure that players and fans were well fed and Harald Schmitz captured the best moments of the season as our photographer.
We look back on this incredible season with pride and look forward to the challenges ahead. Together we have made history.
