The Solingen Alligators have announced that american David Hissey will joining the team in late April. Hissey who is currently finishing his college career at Emory University in Atlanta Georgia. Hissey an Centerfielder-Shortstop is a 4 year starter for Emory who is also a 3 time team captain. In 2006 Hissey was the University Athletic Conferance player of the year and a member of its all academic team while leading his team to the NCAA playoffs.

In 2007 Hissey helped to lead Emory University to unprecidented new heights as his team spent a good part of the team as the number 1 ranked NCAA d-3 and to a spot the D-3 College World Series, where they lost in the championship game.  

As the leadoff hitter for emory Hissey is the table setter the job he will have here in Solingen. His career stats in 130 games played are 136 runs scored, 5 homeruns, 66 runs batted in, 76 stolen bases, and a 365 batting average. After this season he will be hi schools all time stolen base leader.
 
Head Coach Andy Fleischacker expects Hissey to come in and be a leader on and off the field. To bat first and get on base for the run producers. he will get playing time at both centerfield and shortstop.

Fleischacker says, I have had the chance to coach against David in college ball and i kow there is no better leadoff guy out there. He brings total effort and intensity to the ball field everyday, and plays and exciting style of baseball that fans will love. This guy is a down and dirty player who is always running hard, diving for balls and crashing into fences, the only speed Hissey knows is full speed.
